煙籠寒水月籠沙，
夜泊秦淮近酒家。
商女不知亡國恨，
隔江猶唱後庭花。

Cold water veiled in mist and shores steeped in moonlight,
I moor on River Qinhuai near wineshops at night,
Where songgirls knowing not the grief of conquered land
Are singing songs composed by a captive ruler's hand.
